How do we get from the plate to the final shot. By giving insights into recent and older projects we will try to explain how complex vfx shots are created. What is needed to bring all elements of a shot together and how is the concept/layout phase connected to the final render? Showcases will include some making of and breakdowns of Game of Thrones, The Fate of the Furious, Wonder Woman and other projects.



Max Reiss has been working in the vfx industry for over 10 years. After starting as a 3D generalist for commercials in Frankfurt he moved to Los Angeles to focus more on Mattepainting and Compositing. Since 2015 he is back again in Germany and has worked on projects like Game of Thrones, The Fate of the Furious and recently IronSky 2.
